Genealogy databases in XML

Where do I start, XML is so flexable people have made there own standards from GEDCOM files. Many large software program you buy today are monopolies which if you use them they will
1. convert gedcom to their standard
2. have extra non standard functions like scrapbooking.
3. they say you can export your gedcom again.

Problems:
1. Their standard does not work 100% with other software standards!
2. All your hard work adding pictures is never adding to your export file when leaving a software/platform for another. And 99% of the time leaving a software/platform you export db and it spits out a striped down gedcom version loosing all you added items. This leaves you stuck with them or you will have to reenter all your extra data to the new software/platform you decide on.
3. Most people dont know that some software will import export gedcom files. BUT they change tags, cut off long notes or names, and never even read some tag nodes. Same goes for when they export they chop strings of data and pictures, location and photos leaving you with about 50-75% of your true database. This leaves you trapped having to continue using their stuff software/platform if you have a really large file that you can not redo overnight.

I will have more examples later about that to the lay mans wording and examples. there is a movment to "A Better GEDCOM" to level and standardize genealogy xml databases.

I have noticed since 2002-2008 people would bicker and fight that their standard has to be the defacto platform. I even seen many boards and blogs say they what a standard yet keep such a movement against say a preferred software like they are on the payroll?

So while all that was going on I collected all kinds of xml, asp, xsl, demo scripts and examples and over time dabbled with them into a web based dashboard genealogy viewer and editor.

Yes some templates are green blue or pink but that is just visual stuff which can change for a more appealing look. My goal was to get the function to work and does. Now I am working on admin, operators, members and public view access levels to perform edits updates uploads and scrapbooking which in all is seo friendly.

Well I hope to add more here in a few days.
